142. Movie(s) Review

For this week (from 16th of April), I have been watching quite a number of movies.

First up, I went to watch ATM (also known as Er Rak Error) at Plaza Sing since that's the only place that I could watch it. ATM is somewhat like Hello Stranger (same producer). I really love Hello Stranger cos it's damn funny and at some point, it's touching. Oh by the way, it's a thai movie.

To be honest, I don't know what was the movie about even until I sat down on the seat. Then how do I know about this movie? Well, I just happened to be reading Hayley's blog and she blog about this. I can't remember what makes me want to watch the movie more: when I saw that the producer of this movie is the same as Hello Stranger or because the main lead of this movie is the same guy in Hello Stranger.

Usually, I will watch the trailer first before watching a movie so that I can get a grasp of what the movie is about. Glad that I managed to watch it. Good plot, it's funny and it's worth the price of the ticket. Overall, I think I will rate the movie: 4.5/5.

Secondly, I went to watch Mirror Mirror on the same day at Plaza Sing.

I didn't want to watch this movie at first since I wasn't even a little bit interested in watching the movie. My sister wanted to watch this and since my sister accompanied me to watch ATM and so I had to accompany her to watch this.

Truthfully, I don't find the movie special since it's just like Snow White with a little bit of differences. And to be honest, I don't really like Snow White. Among all the disney princesses, I like Ariel (mermaid) the most and Snow White is the least that I like.

However, you need to wait till the ending of the movie! :3 It's totally epic and that part really makes my day. Even those people who wanted to leave because it's the ending, went back to their seat after that. Overall, I rate the movie: 2 + 1= 3/5 (yes, +1 point because of the ending).

Thirdly, I went to watch Battleship (the next day).

YES FINALLY! I WATCHED BATTLESHIP! :D I really wanted to watch this movie since I don't know when. I saw the trailer with someone and it really made me interested in watching it! :) Glad that I watch it since it's really damn good!!

The plot is awesome even though it feels very familiar, the budget of the movie cannot be expressed (such a high budget OMG!), the way the movie was shot and more. I kept talking about the angle and etc during the whole movie. Screw a MOI-student's life. Can't even watch the movie peacefully. Need to comment of the plot, the angle and more. Like halfway watching the movie, I don't know how but I suddenly started to look at the angle of the shot then I started thinking of ways how the cameraman did that. -.-

Even though everything is good, there was a part that I'm really disappointed. Seriously disappointed. All my excitement dropped like an atom bomb being dropped to the land. (SPOILER ALERT!) The part where the battle ended and then the very next scene is the ceremony(?) award? Like they need to say thanks to those people who lost their life during the battle kind. WHERE IS THE PART THEY UNITED THE PEOPLE?!

I don't think you will get my last sentence unless you watch it yourself. Anyway, I rate this movie: 4.5 - 0.5 = 4/5 (yes, -0.5 because of that absurd change (to me))

Anyway, I can't wait for AVENGERS TO COME OUT! OMGZ! Definitely gonna watch it!! :3

141. TP Design Show

So yeah, I went for TP's Design Show on the 5th of April with Joelle and Albinia. 

I only took 2 photos since I was holding on my laptop and like always, I need to tap on the screen of my phone (Samsung Galaxy S) for a clearer photo (HD feeling kind). It was tiring(?) for me to hold the phone on my right hand and hold my laptop on my left hand. So in the end, I just took 2 photos. Nah, I lied.

20% was because I was too lazy to take photo, 15% was because I was too engrossed with the show. 55% was because it was too troublesome to take photos. 10% was because I was kind of far from stage.

I'm too lazy to make the pie chart so I just write the in percentage. The 4 reasons added up to 100%. Don't worry, I counted them again and again. Anyway, I went back to Indonesia the other day. From 7th of April till 14th of April. Nothing much to talk about it since I never really went out but I took some photos. I shall see what I have on my phone and talk about it? :)

Anyway, Danial Juhari called me before the Design Show started and Fauzi called me during the Design show and asked me why I don't want to sit down. My other friends who met me also asked the same thing and I told them because my eyesight too bad and the seat is quite far from the stage. Nah, actually it was crowded by the time Joelle, Albinia and I entered. We don't really see any seat available so we decided to stand up even though the 2 people who called me said there are seat that available. And the 2 people notice me because of my hair. Hahah, eye catching shit.

I can't really remember what I want to write so gonna leave it as it is. If you were wondering why I have my laptop on that day or where did the 3 of us went after the show, Joelle wanted to transfer me a korean variety show so that I can watch it when I'm at Indo and the 3 of us went to Daiso and then we headed home via train + bus (for me).

140. TPDE GEM 7

On the 30th of March, I went to watch TPDE Gem 7! TPDE stands for Temasek Polytechnic something something? Dance Evolution or something? I don't know but it's about dance. Gonna ask Dawn what does 'TPDE' stands for, one day! Gem 7 is the production name if I'm not wrong. I'm just guessing what they stands for so I can't guarantee that what I guess are correct. I gonna ask Dawn this as well. -.-

Dawn and Faris are inside and they gonna perform for Gem 7 so I thought why not go? Each ticket cost $15 and the performance is held at Auditorium(?). By the way, I just checked the pamphlet and TPDE actually stands for Temasek Polytechnic Dance Ensemble. Anyway, I went to watch it with Junyuan only since Dawn could only managed to get 2 tickets as we two are the first two people who paid for it before the tickets were distribute. The reason why the rest didn't go was because Dawn couldn't get more ticket as there were many other people who were chionging to get the ticket as well.

Believe me or not but it was a full house. For both 30th and 31st of March. Yes, both days. 500 people (if I'm not wrong) for each days. Can you actually imagine that?! So many people want to watch the performance and there were more people who wanted to watch it but couldn't get the ticket on time such Asrap, San, Charles and more! Bleh, who asked you all to not give Dawn the ticket money! :P

I didn't take much photos and videos cos I was watching the whole time. And I didn't have any HD camera to begin with so everything that I took will be damn shitty cos they will be like moving all the time right? ;x The best thing was that after the performance ended, Dawn straight away went to hug me! Like she notice me first before her other friends! :') Feel super honored can!

There was this one performance and I saw Dawn smiling all the time. I asked her and she said one of the reason she smiled was because she saw me! Yay yay yay! Hohohoho she is in love with me!! Hahaha, nah, I just made it more gua(?) chang(?)? Like more exaggerate. She notice me first because I sat the nearest to the stage and she smiled for everyone? LOL I feel so pathetic after writing that. Anyway, my hair is a super giveaway loh. A girl with a blonde hair sitting in the middle of the auditorium. Me loh. Who else? :D

After that, we went to find Asrap and San who were waiting at outside library. Qiyan came afterwards since he was with the production crew to help with the performance. It was already 10PM and we were damn hungry so we went to Sempang first. Charles was already waiting at Sempang with Benedict (his church friend). We told Dawn to take cab to find us (we agreed that we gonna chip(?) in money for the cab but in the end, Dawn paid it by herself -.-).

How are y'all?

Hmm, these past few days has been poor for me since I ran out of money. Need to find a job soon! :( I planning to work at the East area since my school is at the East side. Maybe Tamp? Cos if I work after school, it will be easier for me. Gonna hunt for jobs with Sharon! :D

Oh oh, by the way, I have a good news for myself! And that is......................... I CANZ RE-CONTRACT MY PHONE! YAY! YIPIE YAY! :D :D :D :D :D :D I plan to change to iphone 4S? At first I didn't want to use iphone cos it's too mainstream and I want to try other brands such as LG, HTC and etc. But I have enough of laggy phones. So why not iphone straight?

I got nothing much to write so why not spam this post with photos?

Went to eat at there with Junyuan and we actually mix-and-match our food? We cut out a small piece of the salmon from above (just say we cut one slice into half) and add a cut-ed piece of meatball, fries and nugget plus the vegetable. Don't forget to add the meatball sauce and the jam. Yums (to us)! ♥

138. April's Fool Day

Hello sushi(s)! :3










........ Okay I think that's awkward? I still trying a nickname to call all my readers but that is just plain awkward? I came out with that cos one of my friends called me 'SUSHITO' which basically means 'Sugiarto' and 'Sushi'. But nevermind, I will think of a better nickname soon! :)

Anyway, this gonna be quite a short post since I don't really have anything to write except for this small incident that I had last year. You see, I really cannot forget about 1st of April. It is a really meaningful day for me. I think even in the future, it still gonna be one of the most meaningful day of my life.

Last year, on this very day, I got a call from Temasek Poly.

You see, I really tried very hard to go to other school since I don't want to go to Republic Poly. It's not that because it's RP (okay, to be honest, it's a part of the reasons) but it's because I don't want to wake up everyday at like 5AM or 6AM to go to school. My sister went to RP and I had to see her do this for 3 years of her life (maybe lesser but almost there). Since I know that I can't get in to either NP or SP already, why not TP? At the very least, it's quite near to my house and it's the course that I like. All the choices of course that I put for the Poly slip are almost the same?

Anyway, I got a call from TP. The lady on the phone told me that I got accepted to TP and asked me when I can come down to TP to collect the necessary stuffs for my enrollment. I was super damn happy like I was in cloud 9(?) until I heard a laughter at the back of the background. Then, I thought it was an April's Fool joke and I was quite disappointed and doubt whatever the lady was saying.

It was only until I checked my email then I decided to believe that I got accepted to TP! ;)

I blogged about it before which you can read it here. Hahahah, until now, I still praise(?) this day! And so far, I'm glad that I enrolled to TP. I have great friends and the life in TP is fun! :)

By the way, I actually wanted to draw a chart about the reason why I don't want to enroll to RP but I got too lazy so I shall just end my post here!
